1. Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

BetterQ stores the following data locally on your device using your phone's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party:

• Your saved (favourited) coaching cards
• Your written reflections
• Your streak count (consecutive days of app usage)
• Your onboarding completion status
• Your notification preferences

We do not have access to this data. It exists only on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location data
• Your device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics, usage patterns, or behavioural data
• Health or medical information
• Financial or payment information (unless you make an in-app purchase through Apple or Google, which is handled entirely by Apple or Google)

Coaching Arc Feature (When Available)

If and when the AI-powered Coaching Arc feature is activated, your conversation text will be sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic Claude API) to generate responses. These conversations are:

• Not stored by us
• Not linked to your identity
• Processed according to Anthropic's privacy policy (available at anthropic.com/privacy)
• Not used to train AI models

You can choose not to use this feature.

2. How We Use Information

Since we do not collect personal information, we do not use, share, sell, or disclose any personal data. All app functionality operates locally on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

BetterQ may contain a link to an external coaching booking website. If you choose to visit that website, their privacy policy governs your interaction with them, not this policy.

4. Children's Privacy

BetterQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. To delete all BetterQ data, simply delete the app from your device. There is no account to close and no server-side data to request deletion of.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
